After leaving Hoi An, we caught a flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City. While going through airport security, I discovered I had snapped my lens mount bracket meaning I could no longer attach the lens to the camera body. Although I was disappointed at the time, in retrospect, I’m glad it happened. It gave me an excuse to buy a much better lens in Ho Chi Minh City, one that I ended up being very pleased with.
I picked up a Viltrox 56mm f1.4 lens which felt like a significant upgrade from the lightweight lens I had brought with me. Every shot I took with it looked fantastic on my camera screen.
We spent several days in Ho Chi Minh City, where we explored, relaxed, and got caught in the rain.
